Chiswick resident apprehended in connection with burglary at local store; community on edge awaits trial

Chiswick Resident Arrested in Connection with Burglary at Sainsbury's


Two individuals hailing from different locations found themselves facing charges related to a burglary at a Sainsbury’s Local store situated in Henley-on-Thames. Scott Webb, aged 45, residing on Grove Park Road in Chiswick, stood accused alongside Alex Barrow, aged 38, whose address is listed as Shaftesbury Close, Bracknell.

The break-in at the Sainsbury’s establishment on Bell Street occurred approximately at 2:45 am on Tuesday, February 13th. The perpetrators made away with alcohol from the premises. Subsequently, law enforcement intercepted a vehicle transporting the stolen alcohol along with weapons.

Both men were charged with multiple offenses including burglary, being equipped for theft, possession of offensive weapons, and possession of bladed articles, all on Tuesday, February 13th. Barrow and Webb were detained in custody and presented at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 14th.

They remained in custody awaiting their trial at Oxford Crown Court scheduled for March 15th.
