Children Arrested in Animal Killing Spree at Gunnersbury College


Two youngsters, aged 11 and 12, have been apprehended following a disturbing incident at Capel Manor College in Gunnersbury, where several animals were reported killed and animal enclosures vandalized. The distressing events unfolded on Sunday (25/02), prompting a swift response from the local authorities.

Upon receiving the report of animal fatalities and damaged enclosures at Capel Manor College, law enforcement officers promptly visited the scene. In their investigation, they meticulously scrutinized CCTV footage and conducted a thorough forensic examination to gather pertinent evidence.

Subsequent to these investigative efforts, a 12-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy were taken into custody on suspicion of charges related to animal cruelty and burglary. As of the latest update, they remain in police custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.

In response to the incident, Capel Manor College announced the closure of its Gunnersbury Park Campus for students on Monday, citing "unforeseen circumstances." The college, known for its focus on environmental education, maintains five campuses spread across the capital.

While the arrests have been made, the police investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge any potential witnesses to come forward.
