Chiswick Area Forum Tackles Culture and Digital Divide in Upcoming Meeting at Town Hall

The next meeting of the Chiswick Area Forum is scheduled to have a cultural theme and address the issue of the digital divide. It will take place on Tuesday, March 12, at The Hogarth Hall, Chiswick Town Hall, Heathfield Terrace (W4 4JN).

One item on the agenda is ‘Celebrating Culture in Hounslow,' followed by a presentation on the work of the Arts Centre Hounslow, which hosts an annual pantomime and various other events.

The meeting will also feature Joel Tiller, the Head of Policy and Insights at the Digital Policy Alliance, who will discuss digital divide issues. Following that, two Digital Champions from One Hounslow will update attendees on the borough's digitalization efforts, including details about a new Digital Drop-in pilot in central Chiswick to help residents develop online skills.

Formal proceedings of the meeting commence at 7:30 pm, preceded by a marketplace event featuring stalls from local agencies, providing an opportunity for interaction with council officers, councillors, and information about local community groups and initiatives.

An Open Forum will be held at around 9:00 pm for approximately 20 minutes, allowing members of the public to raise matters of local concern. While detailed discussions or responses may not be feasible during the meeting, raised points will be noted to inform the work of the Area Forum.
